CAS 6192-62-7
:Spirosolan-3-ol, hydrochloride (1:1), (3β,5α,22β,25S)-
Description:
Spirosolan-3-ol, hydrochloride (1:1), with the CAS number 6192-62-7, is a chemical compound characterized by its unique spirocyclic structure, which includes a steroid-like framework. This compound features a hydroxyl group (-OH) at the 3-position, contributing to its classification as an alcohol. The presence of the hydrochloride indicates that it is a salt formed with hydrochloric acid, enhancing its solubility in water and making it suitable for various applications, particularly in pharmaceutical formulations. The stereochemistry of the compound, denoted by the (3β,5α,22β,25S) configuration, suggests specific spatial arrangements of its atoms, which can influence its biological activity and interactions with other molecules. Generally, compounds like spirosolan-3-ol are studied for their potential therapeutic effects, including anti-inflammatory or analgesic properties, although specific biological activities would require further investigation. As with many chemical substances, safety and handling precautions are essential due to potential toxicity or reactivity.

CAS:
Tomatidine is a steroidal alkaloid found in the skins of unripe tomatoes. An LPS-stimulated macrophage model of inflammation was used to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of tomatidine and it was found that the alkaloid could decrease inducible nitric oxide synthase and cyclooxygenase-2 expression through suppression of I-kappa B alpha phosphorylation. Thus it may be possible that Tomatidine can be developed as a useful agent for the chemoprevention of cancer or inflammatory diseases. When incorporated into growth media (agar) at 0.3 mM, tomatine and tomatidine inhibited the growth of three fungal bioherbicidal phytopathogens.
Formula:C27H45NO2•HClPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:452.11 g/molTomatidine Hydrochloride ( >85%)
