Enzymes in Recombinant Proteins
Enzymes accelerate chemical reactions, much like biological catalysts, acting on substrates and converting them into different molecules called products. These proteins are indispensable in biochemical processes and industrial applications, facilitating reactions under mild conditions with high specificity and efficiency. At CymitQuimica, we provide a wide selection of high-quality enzymes to support your research, industrial, and clinical applications.

Enterokinase Protein, Bovine, Recombinant (His)

Enterokinase (EK) is a duodenal protease involved in digestion by activating trypsinogen into trypsin, which in turn activates other pancreatic enzymes. EK specifically cleaves after the sequence Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys (DDDDK↓) and is inactive if a proline follows the site.
Recombinant bovine enterokinase (rbEK) shows higher activity than EK from other species and is widely used in biochemical applications. It is a glycosylated single-chain protein of ~200 amino acids, tagged with C-terminal 6×His for Ni²⁺ affinity purification and easy removal after digestion. The purified rbEK has a molecular weight of ~40 kDa and is fully biologically active.
Color and Shape:Lyophilized PowderMolecular weight:40 kDa (Reducing conditions)RRM2 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)

Ribonucleoside-Diphosphate Reductase Subunit M2 (RRM2) belongs to the ribonucleoside diphosphate reductase small chain family.
Color and Shape:Lyophilized PowderMolecular weight:47 KDa (reducing condition)SUMO Protease Protein, S. cerevisiae, Recombinant (His)

SUMO protease, also known as Ulp, is a highly specific enzyme that removes small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) from recombinant SUMO fusion proteins. Unlike proteases such as enterokinase or TEV, which recognize linear amino acid sequences, SUMO protease recognizes the native tertiary structure of SUMO, allowing precise cleavage without leaving extra residues at the cleavage site.

This recombinant SUMO protease is derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, expressed in E. coli, and purified to obtain high yields of active enzyme under animal-free conditions. It is well suited for applications in drug and vaccine development, protein manufacturing, and other research uses. A C-terminal 6×His tag is included to enable easy removal of the protease following cleavage via Ni²⁺ affinity purification.
Color and Shape:Lyophilized PowderMolecular weight:27 kDa (Predicted)Carboxylesterase 2/CES2 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)

Enterokinase (EK) is a serine protease produced in the duodenum and involved in mammalian digestion. It activates trypsinogen to trypsin, thereby indirectly initiating the activation of pancreatic digestive enzymes. EK specifically cleaves after the recognition sequence Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys, but is inactive if a proline follows the cleavage site.
This recombinant bovine enterokinase is the light chain catalytic subunit, comprising a single glycosylated polypeptide chain corresponding to residues Ile801–His1035 of the native protein (Accession # P98072). Expressed in Pichia pastoris under animal-free conditions, the enzyme is highly active and suitable for applications in drug and vaccine development. A C-terminal 6×His tag is included to allow efficient removal by Ni²⁺ affinity chromatography following cleavage reactions.
Color and Shape:Lyophilized PowderMolecular weight:40 kDa (Reducing conditions)APEG1 Protein, Human, Recombinant (His)
