Beschreibung:

Orthoborsäure, auch bekannt als Borax, ist eine schwache Säure mit der chemischen Formel H₃BO₃. Es erscheint als farbloser, kristalliner Feststoff oder als weißes Pulver und ist in Wasser löslich, wobei eine leicht saure Lösung entsteht. Orthoborsäure zeichnet sich durch seine geringe Toxizität aus und wird häufig in verschiedenen Anwendungen eingesetzt, darunter als Antiseptikum, Insektizid und pH-Puffer.
