Negsehisandrin G is an activator of transcriptional promoters and a prodrug that is metabolized to schisandrol, schisanhenol, and isokadsuranin. Negsehisandrin G has been shown to inhibit the activity of farnesoid X receptor (FXR), which is a nuclear receptor involved in the regulation of bile acid synthesis. In addition, it has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties. This product has ethnopharmacological uses to treat various diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and cardiovascular disease.
