Daptomycin ist ein zyklisches Lipopeptid-Antibiotikum, das hauptsächlich zur Behandlung von Infektionen eingesetzt wird, die durch grampositive Bakterien verursacht werden, einschließlich methicillinresistenter Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Es wird durch Fermentation des Bakteriums Streptomyces roseosporus hergestellt.
