Ethylbutyrat ist eine organische Verbindung, die als Ester klassifiziert ist, speziell als Ethylester der Buttersäure. Es hat ein fruchtiges Aroma, das an Ananas oder Apfel erinnert, was es zu einer beliebten Wahl in der Lebensmittel- und Duftindustrie als Aromastoff und Duft macht.
