1-Propanthiol, auch bekannt als Propylmercaptan, ist eine organische Verbindung mit der chemischen Formel C3H8S. Es ist eine farblose Flüssigkeit mit einem starken, unangenehmen Geruch, der an Knoblauch oder einen Stinktier erinnert, was es nützlich macht als Duftstoff im Erdgas zur Lecksuche.
