Diethylamin

Beschreibung:

Diethylamin ist eine farblose, flüchtige Flüssigkeit mit einem charakteristischen Amin-Geruch. Es wird als sekundäres Amin klassifiziert, mit der chemischen Formel C4H11N. Diethylamin ist in Wasser und organischen Lösungsmitteln löslich, was es vielseitig in verschiedenen chemischen Anwendungen macht. Es hat einen relativ niedrigen Siedepunkt und einen moderaten Flammpunkt, was darauf hinweist, dass es unter bestimmten Bedingungen entzündlich sein kann. Diese Verbindung wird hauptsächlich als Baustein in der Synthese von Arzneimitteln, Agrochemikalien und Tensiden verwendet. Darüber hinaus wirkt Diethylamin als Katalysator in verschiedenen chemischen Reaktionen und wird in der Produktion von Gummi und Farbstoffen eingesetzt. Aufgrund seiner basischen Natur kann es Salze mit Säuren bilden, die oft stabiler und leichter zu handhaben sind. Diethylamin kann jedoch gefährlich sein; es ist giftig, wenn es verschluckt oder eingeatmet wird, und kann Haut- und Augenreizungen verursachen. Applications Diethylamine, can be used for the preparation of alkali metal diethylamides, generated with n-BuLi or NaH, have been used for the cleavage of ethers. Also, in combination with Lithium aluminum hydride, generates lithium tris(diethylamino)aluminum hydride, which is a useful selective reducing agent.
