Beschreibung:
Amlodipinbesilat ist ein Calciumkanalblocker, der hauptsächlich zur Behandlung von Bluthochdruck und Angina eingesetzt wird. Es handelt sich um ein weißes bis leicht weißes kristallines Pulver, das in Wasser löslich ist und einen pH-Bereich von etwa 6 bis 8 in Lösung aufweist. Die Substanz ist ein Salz, das aus Amlodipin, einem Dihydropyridin-Derivat, und Benzolsulfonsäure gebildet wird, was seine Löslichkeit und Stabilität verbessert. Amlodipinbesilat wirkt, indem es den Einstrom von Calciumionen in die glatte Gefäßmuskulatur und das Herzmuskelgewebe hemmt, was zu einer Vasodilatation und einem gesenkten Blutdruck führt. Seine Pharmakokinetik zeigt eine lange Halbwertszeit, die eine einmal tägliche Dosierung ermöglicht. Die Verbindung wird typischerweise oral verabreicht und gut resorbiert, wobei die maximalen Plasmakonzentrationen mehrere Stunden nach der Einnahme auftreten. Zu den häufigen Nebenwirkungen können periphere Ödeme, Schwindel und Müdigkeit gehören.
