Succinimidyl 3-(tri-n-butylstannyl)benzoate
CAS:Kontrolliertes ProduktSuccinimidyl 3-(tri-n-butylstannyl)benzoate (SBTB) is a potent oxidant that can be used in the regression of radiation damage. SBTB is synthesised by reacting tri-n-butyl tin oxide with succinic anhydride and tert-butanol in the presence of base. This active form is then reacted with a protein or peptide to form a succinimidyl ester. The resulting compound has been shown to be effective against many types of cancer, including human gliomas, when coupled with monoclonal antibodies targeting tumor cells. The uptake of SBTB into cells is largely determined by the amount of hydrophobic surface area on the cell membrane and its solubility in water, which has been shown to be optimized using NMR spectroscopy. SBTB also inhibits the growth of Stachybotrys chartarum and other fungi that are known to produce mycotoxins
