CAS:Homoisovanillic acid is a monomer used in the production of polymers and copolymers. It can be obtained from the reaction of phenylacetic acid with an initiator such as ethylene oxide. Homoisovanillic acid is a member of the class of carboxylic acids, which are characterized by having two carbon atoms. Homoisovanillic acid has a cross-linked structure that enhances its polymerization properties. This monomer also reacts with metal salts to form crosslinked polymers. Homoisovanillic acid is positioned at the end of polymer chains and participates in copolymerization reactions to increase the strength of the final product.
