Beschreibung: Wischmopps, oder 3-(N-Morpholino)propanesulfonsäure, ist ein zwitterionischer Puffer, der häufig in der biologischen und biochemischen Forschung verwendet wird. Er hat einen pKa-Wert von etwa 7,15, was ihn besonders effektiv macht, um den physiologischen pH-Wert in verschiedenen Anwendungen aufrechtzuerhalten, insbesondere in der Zellkultur und in Proteinstudien. Wischmopps ist in Wasser löslich, und seine Pufferkapazität ist im pH-Bereich von etwa 6,5 bis 7,9 optimal.
