In addition, (2R)-(-)-glycidyl tosylate is a nucleophilic cross-linking agent that forms covalent bonds with proteins. It also reacts with hydroxyl groups and tiglic acid to form reaction intermediates, which are useful in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals.
