CAS:<p>2,3:4,6-Di-O-isopropylidene-2-keto-L-gulonic acid is a mediator that is used in the synthesis of epoxides. It is obtained by the reaction of hydrogen peroxide with 2,3:4,6-di-o-isopropylidene-2-keto-l-gulonic acid monohydrate. This product can be used as an intermediate in organic synthesis to produce chiral epoxides. The stereochemistry of the epoxides depends on the chirality of the substrate and the stereoselectivity for this process is high.
