Beschreibung: Mycophenolatmofetil (MMF) ist ein immunsuppressives Mittel, das hauptsächlich zur Verhinderung der Organabstoßung bei Transplantationspatienten und zur Behandlung von Autoimmunerkrankungen eingesetzt wird. Es handelt sich um ein Prodrug, das im Körper in Mycophenolsäure umgewandelt wird, die das Enzym Inosinmonophosphat-Dehydrogenase (IMPDH) hemmt. Diese Hemmung wirkt selektiv auf Lymphozyten und unterdrückt somit die Proliferation von T- und B-Zellen und reduziert die Immunantwort.
