    <p>IOX4 is a benzodiazepine receptor antagonist that blocks the binding of benzodiazepines to their receptors in the central nervous system. This leads to an increase in oxygen transport and improved cancer treatment. IOX4 has been shown to inhibit the activity of G-protein coupled receptor kinase 2 (GRK2) and phospholipase C (PLC). These two proteins are critical for signal transduction, which may play a role in cancer development. IOX4 is currently being studied as a backup drug for benzodiazepine receptor antagonists with inhibitory effects on GRK2 and PLC.</p>
