Tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethan-hydrochlorid, allgemein bekannt als Tris-Hydrochlorid, ist ein weißes kristallines Pulver, das hochgradig wasserlöslich ist. Es ist ein Pufferagent, der in der Biochemie und Molekularbiologie weit verbreitet ist, um einen stabilen pH-Wert in verschiedenen biologischen und chemischen Reaktionen aufrechtzuerhalten.
