Edasalonexent
CAS:
Edasalonexent is a drug that inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in cells. It has been shown to be effective in treating pediatric patients with asthma, and has been shown to reduce symptoms such as chest tightness, wheezing, and shortness of breath. Edasalonexent also binds to annexin A1, which is an anti-inflammatory molecule. The drug has a safety profile that includes no serious adverse events or deaths in the clinical trials completed to date. Edasalonexent has also been shown to have cellular efficacy following oral administration, with a half-life of approximately 4 hours. This drug is metabolized into an oxindole derivative by CYP3A4 enzymes. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy studies have demonstrated that edasalonexent crosses the blood-brain barrier, which may be due to its ability to cross membranes via passive diffusion.
Formel:C31H42N2O3Reinheit:Min. 95%Molekulargewicht:490.7 g/molEdasalonexent
