Basisches Kupfer(II)-carbonat, auch bekannt als basisches Kupfercarbonat oder Malachit, ist eine anorganische Verbindung mit der chemischen Formel Cu2(OH)2CO3. Es erscheint typischerweise als grünes oder blau-grünes Feststoff und ist in Wasser unlöslich. Diese Verbindung zeichnet sich durch ihre Basizität aus, die aus der Anwesenheit von Hydroxidionen in ihrer Struktur resultiert. Basisches Kupfercarbonat wird häufig in verschiedenen Anwendungen eingesetzt, unter anderem als Pigment in Keramiken und Farben, als Fungizid in der Landwirtschaft und in der Herstellung von Kupfersalzen. Es kann auch als Vorstufe für die Synthese anderer Kupferverbindungen dienen.
