CAS:<p>MK-5204 is a novel antifungal agent that has been shown to have broad-spectrum activity in vitro and in vivo against various human fungal pathogens, including Aspergillus fumigatus. The compound is a carboxamide derivative with an isopropyl group at the C2 position and a triazole at the C3 position. It has been shown to be orally active against murine Candida albicans infection. The structural modifications are designed to increase solubility, reduce toxicity, and improve pharmacokinetics.
