Beschreibung:

Ammoniumchlorid (NH4Cl) ist eine anorganische Verbindung, die durch ihr weißes kristallines Aussehen und ihre hohe Löslichkeit in Wasser gekennzeichnet ist. Es handelt sich um ein Salz, das aus der Reaktion von Ammoniak und Salzsäure entsteht. Ammoniumchlorid hat einen leicht salzigen Geschmack und ist hygroskopisch, was bedeutet, dass es Feuchtigkeit aus der Luft aufnehmen kann. Es wird häufig in verschiedenen Anwendungen eingesetzt, einschließlich als Lebensmittelzusatzstoff, in Düngemitteln und in der Produktion von Batterien und Arzneimitteln. Die Verbindung hat einen Schmelzpunkt von etwa 340°C und zersetzt sich beim Erhitzen, wobei Ammoniakgas freigesetzt wird. In Lösung dissoziiert es in Ammoniumionen (NH4+) und Chloridionen (Cl-), was zu seiner Rolle als Elektrolyt beiträgt. Ammoniumchlorid wird auch in der Textil- und Färbeindustrie sowie in der Metallverarbeitung zum Flussmittel eingesetzt. Obwohl es in moderaten Mengen allgemein als sicher gilt, kann die Exposition gegenüber hohen Konzentrationen zu Atemwegsreizungen führen. Insgesamt ist Ammoniumchlorid eine vielseitige Verbindung mit bedeutenden industriellen und laboratorischen Anwendungen.
