Protriptylinhydrochlorid ist ein trizyklisches Antidepressivum, das hauptsächlich zur Behandlung von Depressionen und bestimmten Angststörungen eingesetzt wird. Es wirkt, indem es die Wiederaufnahme von Neurotransmittern, insbesondere Noradrenalin und Serotonin, hemmt und somit die Stimmung und emotionale Stabilität verbessert.
