3’-Deoxy-N6-dimethyl-3’-fluoroadenosine (3DF) is a novel nucleoside analogue that has been shown to have cytotoxic and antiviral effects. 3DF is an inhibitor of DNA synthesis, which can lead to the death of cancer cells. It has also been shown to act as an activator for the repair of oxidized DNA by stimulating the polymerase enzyme. 3DF has been found to be highly active against HIV and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1). This drug is synthesized in high purity and with a monophosphate group at the 3' position.
