NAB-14
CAS:
NAB-14 is a potentiator of the NMDA receptor that binds to the glycine site on the receptor. It has been shown to enhance synaptic transmission in mammalian cells and mouse hippocampal neurons. NAB-14 appears to be an allosteric modulator of NMDA receptors, potentiating their activity without affecting their ion channel properties. This compound interacts with subunits of the NMDA receptor by binding to its extracellular domain and can be used as a tool for studying the function of these proteins. NAB-14 has been expressed in Xenopus oocytes and whole-cell patch clamp experiments have been conducted on both mammalian cells and mouse hippocampal neurons. It is thought that this drug may have therapeutic potential for treating diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Huntington's disease because it can facilitate synaptic transmission, which is impaired in these conditions.
Formel:C20H21N3O3Reinheit:Min. 95%Molekulargewicht:351.4 g/molNAB-14
