N-Methyl-N-propargyl-2-aminotetralin (MAPA) is a dopamine and noradrenaline uptake inhibitor with potent activity against chronic treatment, long-term treatment, and potently. It has been shown to increase blood pressure in animals following chronic and long term treatment, as well as inhibit uptake of serotonin and dopamine in the rat striatum following acute administration. MAPA has also been shown to be a potent microdialysis probe for detection of catecholamines in the brain.
