Applications α-Chloro-1-naphthaleneacetamide is the impurity of the plant rooting hormone 1-Naphthaleneacetamide. It is the derivative of 1-Naphthaldehyde (N344800), which is used as a reagent in the synthesis of phosphors without rare-earth elements for eco-energy lighting based LEDs. It is also used in the synthesis of 1-Naphthoic Acid and 1-Naphthalenemethanol.
