    <p>BTT 3033 is a small molecule that interacts with collagen and has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of prostate cancer cells. BTT 3033 is a novel agent that binds to extracellular matrix proteins such as collagen, laminin, fibronectin, and vitronectin. This binding prevents cell adhesion and migration, leading to an inhibition of cell proliferation. BTT 3033 has also been shown to down regulate the expression of various marker proteins, such as CD44, which is associated with tumor progression in prostate cancer. The mechanism for this action may involve an interaction between BTT 3033 and collagen as well as an alteration in the function of cells by inhibiting cell signaling pathways involved in cell growth and survival.</p>
