CAS:Kontrolliertes ProduktRac-pregabalin is a carboxylate prodrug of the GABA analog pregabalin. It is an agonist at the alpha2 delta receptor, which is a major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. Rac-pregabalin has high affinity binding to this receptor and has been shown to be more potent than gabapentin. It also binds to other receptors, including the GABA-B receptor and benzodiazepine site on the GABAA receptor. Rac-Pregabalin enhances GABAergic neurotransmission by interacting with these receptors and increasing their ability to bind GABA.
