In addition to its antiviral activity against HIV type 1 (HIV-1), 3',5'-O-(1,1,3,3-Tetraisopropyl-1,3-disiloxanediyl)-5-methyluridine also inhibits the growth of cancerous cells by acting as an inhibitor of DNA
