Beschreibung:
Aluminiumoxid, chemisch bekannt als Aluminiumoxid, ist ein weißes, geruchloses Pulver mit der Formel Al₂O₃. Es ist ein Schlüsselbestandteil in verschiedenen industriellen Anwendungen, hauptsächlich aufgrund seiner Härte und thermischen Stabilität. Aluminiumoxid weist hervorragende elektrische Isoliereigenschaften auf und ist chemisch inert, was es korrosions- und abbauresistent in rauen Umgebungen macht. Es hat einen hohen Schmelzpunkt, was zu seiner Verwendung in feuerfesten Materialien beiträgt. Neben seinen strukturellen Anwendungen wird Aluminiumoxid auch als Schleifmittel und in der Aluminiumproduktion durch das Bayer-Verfahren verwendet.
