Rac N-Desmethyl-N-(4-methoxyphenethyl) venlafaxine is a compound that acts as a β-catenin and cdk4/6 inhibitor. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of hepatocyte growth factor-induced human hepatoma cells. This compound forms a hydrogen bond with palbociclib, which is an inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6. It also interacts with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), a serine protease involved in cell proliferation and survival. Rac N-Desmethyl-N-(4-methoxyphenethyl) venlafaxine binds to glycine-binding proteins and inhibits their activity, leading to decreased cell growth and survival. Additionally, this compound has been found to have antiviral activity against circovirus, as demonstrated by mass spectrometry analysis.
