4-Morpholinethansulfonsäure, Hydrat (1:1), allgemein als MES bekannt, ist ein zwitterionischer Puffer, der häufig in biochemischen und molekularbiologischen Anwendungen verwendet wird. Er weist einen Morpholerring auf, der zu seiner Löslichkeit und Stabilität in wässrigen Lösungen beiträgt.
