    <p>13-Amino-11-(4-methylphenyl)-1,8-diazatricyclo[7.4.0.0,2,7]trideca-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaene-10,12-dicarbonitrile (AZD2171) is a potent and selective inhibitor of the JAK3 kinase. It has been shown to inhibit tumor xenografts in mice and to reduce the size of tumors by inhibiting the proliferation of cancer cells. In vitro studies have shown that AZD2171 has anti-inflammatory effects on nerve cells and prevents degenerative diseases by reducing oxidative stress caused by polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). AZD2171 inhibits lipid peroxidation and reduces fatty acid synthesis as well as plasma mass spectrometry measurements in rats with high levels of PUFA.</p>
