CAS:<p>2-(((4-Methyl-7-oxyooctyl)oxy)carbonyl)cyclohexanecarboxylic acid (2MEOCA) is a metabolite of progesterone which has been detected in human urine. 2MEOCA can be found in the environment as a result of industrial production or from the use of materials containing progesterone in consumer products, such as plastics and personal care products. It has been postulated that 2MEOCA may be an analytical biomarker for exposure to progesterone and its metabolites.<br>2MEOCA is stable in urine samples stored at room temperature for at least 24 hours and can be measured by a high performance liquid chromatography - mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) method.
