Clonazepam

Clonazepam ist ein Medikament, das zur Klasse der Benzodiazepine gehört und hauptsächlich zur Behandlung von Krampfanfällen, Panikstörungen und Angstzuständen eingesetzt wird. Es wirkt als ZNS-Depressor und verstärkt die Wirkung des Neurotransmitters Gamma-Aminobuttersäure (GABA) am GABA-A-Rezeptor, was zu einer erhöhten neuronalen Hemmung führt. Clonazepam ist durch seine chemische Formel C15H10ClN3O3 und ein Molekulargewicht von etwa 315,7 g/mol gekennzeichnet. Es erscheint typischerweise als weißes bis gelbes kristallines Pulver und ist in organischen Lösungsmitteln wie Ethanol und Chloroform löslich, hat jedoch eine begrenzte Löslichkeit in Wasser. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine that is used as a treatment for epilepsy, panic disorder and anxiety. It is also used to control the symptoms of withdrawal from alcohol or benzodiazepines. Clonazepam binds to the il-2 receptor and blocks the binding of clonazepam to this receptor. Clonazepam has minimal toxicity in humans, which may be due to its low lipophilicity and rapid metabolism. The drug is metabolized through glucuronidation by the enzyme UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A4 (UGT1A4), followed by excretion in urine.
