CAS:Chloridazon is a drug that inhibits the activity of p450, which is an enzyme involved in the synthesis of cholesterol. Chloridazon binds to metal hydroxides and forms a complex with cytochrome p450, which prevents its activity. Chloridazon is used as a model system for studies on the effects of toxic substances and heavy metals on cells. Toxicological studies have shown that chloridazon can cause long-term toxicity and resistant mutants. The bound form of chloridazon has been shown to inhibit photosynthetic activity in plants, while the free form does not show this effect. Chloridazon has also been used to produce nanoparticulate compositions with biological properties such as anti-inflammatory activities.
