CAS:N-Desmethylthiamethoxam is a functional compound that has been synthesized to have similar properties to the neonicotinoids. It is an acetylcholine receptor subtype, which is a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. N-Desmethylthiamethoxam binds to nitric oxide (NO) and nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs), which are the binding sites for acetylcholine. The interaction of N-Desmethylthiamethoxam with these receptors leads to the inhibition of nitrosoguanidine-induced neuronal cell death in vitro.
