It is active against both RNA and DNA viruses, such as HIV, influenza virus and herpes virus. 1-(2’-Deoxy-2’-fluoro-β-D-arabinofuranosyl)-N3-(2S)-(2-amino-3-carbonyl]propyluracil has been shown to be an activator for phosphoramidites in aqueous solution.
