CAS:2-Amino-4-(p-tolyl)thiazole is a thiazole derivative that has been shown to be an inhibitor of Trichomonas vaginalis. It also shows antibacterial activity against Gram positive bacteria, such as Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus. 2-Amino-4-(p-tolyl)thiazole is a corrosion inhibitor with nucleophilic properties. It has been shown to have antibacterial activity in both the presence and absence of hydrogen bond acceptors, which may be due to the carbonyl group on the pyrazole ring. This compound also has electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) properties that are characteristic of amines, which are good solvents for this molecule.
