Carbimazol

Carbimazol ist ein antithyreoidales Medikament, das hauptsächlich zur Behandlung von Hyperthyreose eingesetzt wird, insbesondere bei Erkrankungen wie der Graves-Krankheit. Es wirkt, indem es die Synthese von Schilddrüsenhormonen hemmt und somit deren Spiegel im Körper senkt. It reduces the production of diiodotyrosine and thyroxine, as well as the uptake and concentration of inorganic iodine by the thyroid.
