CAS:L-Argininosuccinic acid lithium salt is a chemical compound that is used as a metabolic precursor for the synthesis of proteins. It is an intermediate in the urea cycle and is also involved in the biosynthesis of polyamines. L-Argininosuccinic acid lithium salt has been shown to inhibit renal cell cancer, which may be due to its matrix effect on cells and its ability to affect signaling pathways, such as arginine metabolism. The median plasma concentration of L-argininosuccinic acid lithium salt was found to be 0.0006 μmol/L in a study involving healthy adults. L-Argininosuccinic acid lithium salt can be detected in biological samples, such as urine, serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) by mass spectrometry or high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
