CAS:3,3',5,5'-Tetra-tert-butyldiphenoquinone is a polymerized phenolic compound that is used as a dietary antioxidant. It has been shown to have hypochlorous and anion radical scavenging properties. It also acts as an oxidation catalyst and can be used for the preparation of oxidation products. 3,3',5,5'-Tetra-tert-butyldiphenoquinone stabilizes the formation of β-unsaturated aldehydes by acting as an oxidant. 3,3',5,5'-Tetra-tert-butyldiphenoquinone also has antioxidative activity by inhibiting lipid peroxidation in vitro.
