CAS:Kontrolliertes ProduktApplications D-Allose is a rare naturally occurring monosaccharide, is known to exert anti-proliferative effects on cancer cells. The effects of D-Allose on the cellular membranes of hormone-refractory prostate cancer cell line (DU145), hormone-sensitive prostate cancer cell line (LNCaP), and normal prostate epithelial cells (PrEC) were studied at the molecular level by phospholipid profiling using a shotgun lipidomic method.

CAS:D-Allose is a sugar that is modified with a fluorine atom at position 6. This modification can be used to trace the origin of D-allose in complex carbohydrates such as glycogen and glycosylated proteins. The addition of a 13C6 atom allows for the identification of this sugar through mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis.
