Sorbitan-Trioleat, auch bekannt als Sorbitan-Tristearat, ist ein nichtionischer Tensid und Emulgator, der häufig in Lebensmittel-, Kosmetik- und pharmazeutischen Formulierungen verwendet wird. Es wird aus Sorbitol und Ölsäure gewonnen und verfügt über einen hydrophilen Sorbitan-Kopf und drei hydrophobe Oleat-Schwänze, die zu seiner amphiphilen Natur beitragen. Diese Verbindung zeichnet sich durch ihre Fähigkeit aus, die Oberflächenspannung zu reduzieren, Emulsionen zu stabilisieren und die Löslichkeit verschiedener Inhaltsstoffe zu verbessern.
