1,4-Diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octan, allgemein als DABCO bekannt, ist eine bicyclische organische Verbindung, die durch ihre einzigartige Struktur gekennzeichnet ist, die aus einem bicyclischen Gerüst besteht, das zwei Stickstoffatome in einem gesättigten Ringsystem enthält. Es ist ein farbloser bis blassgelber Feststoff bei Raumtemperatur und bekannt für seine starke Basizität und Nucleophilität, was es zu einem nützlichen Katalysator in verschiedenen chemischen Reaktionen macht, insbesondere bei der Synthese von Polymeren und als Katalysator bei der Herstellung von Polyurethanschaum.
