Beschreibung: β-Hexachlorcyclohexan, auch bekannt als β-HCH, ist ein chloriertes Kohlenwasserstoff, das ein Derivat von Cyclohexan ist. Es ist eines der Isomere von Hexachlorcyclohexan, das historisch als Pestizid und Insektizid verwendet wurde. Diese Verbindung zeichnet sich durch ihren hohen Chlorierungsgrad aus, der zu ihrer Stabilität und Persistenz in der Umwelt beiträgt. β-HCH ist typischerweise ein weißer kristalliner Feststoff mit geringer Löslichkeit in Wasser, aber besser löslich in organischen Lösungsmitteln.
