Applications (R)-(+)-Camphor-d2 is an intermediate in synthesizing (+)​-​Borneol-D3 (B675542). It is a deuterium labelled analog of (+)-Borneol, which is used for analgesia and anesthesia in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine. (+)-Borneol has highly efficacious positive modulating action at human recombinant α1β2γ2L GABAA receptors.
