Beschreibung:
Isopropyl-β-D-thiogalactopyranosid (IPTG) ist eine synthetische Verbindung, die häufig in der Molekularbiologie als Induktor der Genexpression verwendet wird. Es ist ein Galactosid, spezifisch ein Thiogalactosid, was bedeutet, dass es ein Schwefelatom anstelle des Sauerstoffs im Galactoseanteil enthält.
