CAS:Kontrolliertes ProduktMetofenazate is a synthetic drug that belongs to the class of pharmacological agents and has been used in the treatment of cancer. It is an aerosolized form of the drug, which is administered through inhalation. Metofenazate has been shown to have anticancer activity by inhibiting the growth of lung cancer cells. This drug also inhibits cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase, an enzyme that degrades cAMP, thereby blocking the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. The anti-inflammatory properties may be due to its ability to inhibit glucocorticoid receptors and reduce inflammation. Metofenazate can cause an occlusion in the myocardial infarct, causing a decrease in blood flow to this area.
