Beschreibung:
Proteinase K ist ein Serinprotease-Enzym, das in der Molekularbiologie weit verbreitet ist, da es in der Lage ist, Proteine zu verdauen und die Extraktion von Nukleinsäuren zu erleichtern. Es wird aus dem Pilz Tritirachium album gewonnen und zeichnet sich durch seine breite Substratspezifität aus, die es ihm ermöglicht, Peptidbindungen neben aliphatischen und aromatischen Aminosäuren zu spalten.
